Today I was assisted and well looked after by a kind and wonderful staff member by the name Aaliyah. She was so unbelievably helpful and polite, every store needs a Aaliyah, thank you again!

The dymocks in Parramatta were very convenient, especially finder word puzzles, which were hard to find in the first place, which one of my friends told the staff where it was which I got two find a word puzzles to paid at the register for $17. One of my friends was a member of the Dymocks, which you can get for free. In the end it was a good time

Preordered the special edition hardback of Fourth Wing. Picked it up yesterday and enquired about the faulty binding as many book sellers who have stocked the ANZ special edition version and have been made aware that the bindings are faulty (poorly glued). The lady that served me, who I presume is the owner, didn’t even inspect the book or acknowledge the fault.. she then gave me the attitude of “take it or leave it”, which was quite disappointing given I have been waiting for this special edition for MONTHS and have been told that certain stores only stock 1 or 2. On top of this.. Dymocks is somehow always overpriced compared to competitors? So I would have at least expected her to take down my details and follow up if she hadn’t heard of the issue already.. QBD was wonderful enough to call me and inform me that the books would be reprinted, and would be available in 4-6 weeks time, which is absolutely fine! I could not say the same of Dymocks. I would not go back to this Dymocks, purely because the customer service by this lady was ATROCIOUS.

Great service by Emily, who suggested we join the Dymocks rewards program. They had a large variety of kids books. Some were a little overpriced, but overall the bookstore was well organised and staff were very friendly and helpful.

It’s a degrading store. The Indian women which is owner is a friking insane women she is paranoid. She started blaming I stole a book when clearly I had old book which I owned for more then 8months. She saw it in my bag and started putting it in her system and it showed up saying how many they had and she accused me but thankfully I had receipt in that book so when I showed it she was stunned and apologised but I am never going there again. I was going there dispite the variety but now it’s insane. God bless her and dymocks you can do better then letting such people use your name.

Emma questioned why I didn’t have a mask on. In front of the whole store. I said I’m medically exempt and I’m under no mandate to show my exemption as that is my private health data. After arguing that I only would show the police she insisted that she could refuse me entry. I told her that this is not how we should be treating each other. I understood after hearing her side that she’s trying to protect her staff but they are wearing a mask so that’s up to them. I told her I would be taking this further as a formal complaint. I left there embarrassed overwhelmed by the confrontation and will take this further. I will also be calling the police. Emma was a nice lady and genuinely was doing it because of the fear factor around covid but I won’t put up with it. You guys just lost a customer
